I was a preschool teacher for many years so I have a lot of patience and calm energy when it comes to learning to drive.

During the summer months when school is out, I have the flexibility to teach in various areas of San Diego. However, when school is in session, my service area is more restricted due to my limited travel time. While I may not be able to reach all areas of San Diego during the school year, I'm happy to offer an alternative solution for students who have previously worked with me and would like to continue their lessons. I am the wife of a U.S. Marine and love being a part of a military family. I have two teenage daughters, Jessica (18) and Vanessa (16), and have taught them both how to drive. I loved helping them achieve the goal of a driver's license, and will enjoy helping you, too. I am known for being patient in all things. I have experience teaching students that first lesson where they have never before. At Bakkers we have a methodical method of getting students capable in hand over hand and the controlled slipping on the steering wheel. I teach parallel parkiing on every lesson. Lei Lani is know for a gentle teaching style. Highly competent, experienced at taking students to DMV herself. Her students regularly pass the test. Married with a 6 year old son at home, he is her whole life, a nurturing, positive and encouraging mom.

Outside of work, I enjoy the thrill of roller skating, I’m an avid reader and a dedicated pet owner to a beloved frog, Fennel.

Roderick Stansbery - Driving Instructor
Sevice Areas: All areas North County: I have trained about half of the instructors on our team. For a student that has never driver before, we have a methodically method we teach new students, where they learn so quickly and with suprizingly less effort than expected. During that first lesson any compentent instructor teaches turns, lane changes and parking. While each teen learns at a different rate, everyone should walk beack in their house with a smile on their face and love to drive. When a teen under 18 fails the test we provide a free lesson before each time they try again. One of our most experienced instructors or myself do those lessons.
